Del Valle - West Shore Beach North
Livermore, California, United States

Lake Del Valle is a man made fresh water lake that resulted after the damming of Arroyo Del Valle in 1968. Its name translates to “Lake of the Valley” and it is almost completely surrounded by greenery. With 4 monitoring locations and 2 official beaches, its easy to see why so many people love to swim here. The beach on the east side is tested for water quality more often than the west side outside of peak season.
The Del Valle Regional Park offers many outdoor activities for those out there who seek adventure. From cliff-jumping to horseback riding and two swimming beaches there is something for everyone. Fishing, boating, bicycling on the trails and camping are other very popular activities. Lifeguards are on duty during posted periods, although swimming is still allowed year-round without lifeguards.
Del Valle - West Shore Beach North is tested weekly from April to October. The swim beach is closed from November through March.
