Del Valle - East Shore Beach South
Livermore, California, United States
Lake Del Valle simply means “Lake of the Valley” and is a fresh water, man-made lake made from the damming of Arroyo Del Valle in 1968. There are two beaches here, one on the east side of the lake and one on the west.
Del Valle Beaches are located within Del Valle Regional Park, which offers tons of outdoor activities for those out there who seek adventure. From cliff-jumping to horseback riding, along with two swimming beaches there is something for everyone. Other activities available are fishing, boating, bicycle trails and camping sites. Lifeguards are on duty during posted periods, although swimming is still allowed year-round without lifeguards.
East Shore Beach South is tested weekly from April to October and the boat launch is tested twice a month from November to March, as swimming during the winter season is only allowed north of the boat ramp.
