Del Mar Dog Beach
Del Mar, California, United States

Del Mar North “Dog” Beach (also known as “Del Mar Dog Friendly Beach”) is a beach that is divided by the San Dieguito River outlet.
Parking north of the Camino Del Mar bridge requires payment through meters. Parking south of the bridge is generally free with a small section for metered-parking. There is a lifeguard tower on the North side of the inlet. The only public restrooms are three portable restrooms on the North side of the inlet. There is a small water fountain at the top of the community garden near the portable restrooms. It is a very popular spot for dogs and their human families as well as volleyball players with numerous volleyball wooden posts (BYON— bring your own net). It is often very crowded during the summer.
