All the Bronx beaches are mostly private and this club is no exception. The Danish American Beach Club is located along Clarence Road among a string of other private beach clubs in the Bronx, New York. The private beach looks out over City Island, like all the beaches on the strip. This club accepts new members, but it requires applicants to be sponsored by a current member(s) in good standing. Like many other private clubs that want to maintain their exclusivity, this club does not have a public website. One member described it as "a strip of heaven that we try to keep secret." In fact, most people do not know about the private beaches on this strip. This club has a bar, dozens of picnic tables, and a sun deck, which is only accessible to its 400 members.
