Through a grant from the Land and Water Conservation division of the federal government, the City of Tampa was able to plan and implement part of the West Tampa Greenway along Old Tampa Bay. Cypress Point Park is included along the route, offering guests a blend of trails, scenery, dunes and water access. Guests enjoy trailing along the sabal palm hammock, mixed hardwood forest and other restoration areas in the park. Park operation is from sunrise to sunset. Onsite amenities are handicap accessible and include ample parking, bicycle racks, benches, boardwalk, canoe launch and picnic pavilion. The park is along public transit routes and has a bus stop. Fishing regulations/licenses may apply.
