Crown Memorial State Beach - Crab Cove
Alameda, California, United States

Crown Memorial State Beach features 2.5 miles of sandy coastline, bordered by lawns and picnic grounds, with a bicycle trail. Swimming is permitted year round, although there are no lifeguards on duty. A bathhouse with change rooms is available a short walk east. Crab Cove is a protected marine reserve. The visitors center is located on McKay Avenue and contains exhibits and aquaria. The visitor center sits in what was the Merchant Marine Commanders base infirmary.
Crown beach is tested for bacterial levels weekly from April to October and twice a month from November to March.
