The City of Surrey maintains a safe, open water swimming environment at the foot of Sullivan Street. A family friendly, roped swimming area is available for swimmers of all ages. Lifeguards on duty from late June till Labour Day. Be aware there is a strong undertow from tidal action and adjacent Nicomekl River.

This beach area is quiet and a good spot to watch the sun set. Public washroom and shower access at the foot of Crescent Road on the beach end. The area has several restaurants within an easy stroll of the beach.

Beach accesses are at the end of Beecher Street, Sullivan Street and Target Street. Crescent Beach is a small community with limited parking – please be respectful of residents' parking places.

At the north end of Crescent Beach, Blackie Spit Park provides more beach access, with a parking lot at the end of McBride Avenue. Flush toilets are open at the Crescent Beach Sailing Club during open hours. This area also has the Crescent Beach Pier, a fenced off-leash area for dogs . The easternmost end of this area is the Savenye Environmentally Sensitive Area, so please do not disturb the wildlife, birds, or plants, and keep dogs on a leash at all times.
