Craigville Beach in Barnstable is probably the most popular beach and a favorite of teens and college students, offering a beautiful view of the Nantucket Sound. The long, wide beach and nice clean sand allows lots of space for sunbathers and swimmers; the large, handicap-accessible parking lot holds an equal amount of cars. Amenities include restrooms, showers, a boardwalk, food concessions, swimming lessons, and handicap chairs. Lifeguards are on duty during summer season. Umbrella and chair rentals are available. Resident beach stickers are $30 and daily parking passes are $15 on weekdays and $20 on weekends and holidays. The weekly parking fee is $50. For more information, call (508) 790-6345.
