Commando Lake is located minutes out of the Town of Cochrane, northeast of Timmins. It is known to be popular for fishing; those interested will be able to look out for smallmouth and largemouth bass as well as northern pike. Beaches are swimmable but not monitored. Its shores are popular for snowmobiling in the winter and ATV'ing in the summer. Fun fact: Cochrane happens to be the birthplace of Mr. Tim Horton.
