The Jenkinsburg Bridge (also known as The High Bridge or Blue Hole) is an important access point for the Cheat Canyon. Paddlers use the site as a take-out for both the Cheat Canyon and Lower Big Sandy Creek. During hot summer days, the site is also a popular swimming hole. Visitors are reminded carry out their trash and to respect private property.

The parking area is privately owned. The site is primarily maintained by Friends of the Cheat. Bull Run Road often requires 4x4 vehicles to access the site either from Valley Point or Masontown. Please drive slowly and be considerate of others who live in or use the area.

Our monitoring location is located just upstream the mouth of Big Sandy Creek.

Note: this is not a designated swimming area. Swim at your own risk.
