There is a wide sidewalk and a picturesque pedestrian bridge next to this site.

The National Park Service's Palisades Unit is just upstream of this sampling site. The canoe and kayak ramp is a popular take out for tubers and rafters finishing their float down the Chattahoochee during the summer. Many people picnic, wade in the river, hike the trails and climb the rocky bluffs of the river at the Palisades Unit.
