Paradise Swimming Beach is a skinny sliver of reddish sand hugging the shoreline of Charteris Bay. This area is not to be confused with the freshwater Paradise Beach of the Otago region.

Gravel beach with boat sheds. Parking is limited. Access is via walkway in front of carpark opposite Bayview Road. Monitored weekly between November-March by Environment Canterbury
