Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park is better known for stocked trout fishing than the beach and swimming but a small, sandy beach and restricted swimming area are available to campers. The beach has all of the amenities available to campers with a boat launch and boardwalk for shore casting. The water is usually clear and warms up in the summer months of July and August.

The park is well known for birding, and species include loons, grebes, goshawks, ruffed, grouse, great horned owls, pileated woodpeckers, and more.
