Located in Capreol on the shore of Marshy Lake, Capreol Beach Park is a popular swimming location for the residents of the community and tourists. Marshy Lake is a freshwater lake located between two access points to the Vermillion River. This river is part of the Lake Huron drainage basin and an excellent river for canoeing adventures. Capreol Beach Park offers park space, lawns, parking, biking and running trails, and lifeguard supervision from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. between June 23rd to August 19th. The biking and running trails are part of the Greater Sudbury Trail system called Rainbow Routes. This 2.2 km trail begins at the southern end of Marshy Lake at the mouth of the Vermillion River and is quite an easy, scenic path.
