Camp Canonicus
Exeter, Rhode Island, United States
The American Baptist Churches of Rhode Islands purchased this area from potato farmers in 1948 with the intention of turning it into a campground. The original farmhouse is the oldest building on the property and was restored in 1962.
The addition of the Pine Grove Buildings and the Meadowwood Conference Center allowed this area to become a year-round outdoor ministry serving children and adults with special needs.
Amenities include: boating, fishing, swimming, picnic area, field games, crafts, low rope, boating, nature activities, teams building games, signing, roasting marshmallows, bible study and an outdoor prayer center.
The conference centers are available to rent year round.
