This North Shore beach is located at the end of Callahans Beach Road on Smithtown Bay on Long Island. Callahan’s Beach offers the calm waters and rocky coast associated with Long Island Sound beaches, but sits behind dramatic bluffs that tower over the water. This beach is teeming with life: crabs, clams, and small fish. Features include a playground, picnic area, concessions, restrooms, showers, and a fishing area. It is also a great place to go camping. Lifeguards are on duty from 9am-5pm during summer months. This is a Tier II beach.
