Buckroe Beach, which borders Chesapeake Bay, is a great place to bring your family for the day. Lifeguards are on duty so you can enjoy a swim. The beach is wide and there is lots of space for playing beach games, building sandcastles, or just relaxing. Enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic tables or picnic shelters (picnic shelters can be used for a fee). If you come here during the summer, you can also enjoy concerts and movies.

Pets are only permitted during the off season (from September through May).
