Bird Key Park is a small public park at the foot of the iconic Ringling Bridge that offers great views of Sarasota Bay. The park offers a walking path, pavilions, benches as well as an excellent launches for non-motorized vessels such as SUPs and Kayaks. SUP and Windsurf outfitters often use the area for instruction and rentals. There is a ramp (not for vehicles) as well as a small floating dock for paddlers. It is dog friendly, with a great dog beach on the South side of the bridge (accessed via a path underneath the bridge. Anglers enjoy the seawalls closer to the bridge. Most people use this park just by pulling over and parking for a while right next to the shore. Parking can be a challenge during busy times.
