Big Ok Lake
Logan Lake, British Columbia, Canada

BEACH INFO:
Also known as Island Lake, Big Ok Lake is a manmade lake tucked in behind the Highland Valley in the Thompson Plateau. Surrounding the lake is a wide band of alder and willow with a shoreline consisting of many stumps and boulders alongside a band of sedge. Higher up from the lake is a forest of Engelmann spruce and lodgepole pine interspersed with common juniper, alder, willow and poplar.
Due to its clear waters, shoals and submerged island, it is a favorite location for fly fishing with huge rainbow trout ranging from 3 pounds to 8 pounds and larger. A large population of chironomid, mayflies, and sedge hatches ensure the fish in the lake are well fed allowing for the exceptional growth size. This is an artificial fly only catch and release fishery.
