BEACH INFO:
Big Bar Lake is located 117 kms (73 miles) northwest of Kamloops amongst a plethora of pine and spruce trees. Due to glaciers melting 10, 000 to 20, 000 years ago, the landscape is peppered with lakes and ponds making it a beautiful destination for many visitors. The lake is a popular location for rainbow trout fishing, but there are many activities to be enjoyed including bird watching, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking and hiking. Nestled around the lake are many provincial campsites (some with boat launches) and the Big Bar Provincial Park that is embedded in Cariboo ranching country on the southern edge of the Fraser Plateau.
