Smelt Bay Provincial Park is on the southern end of Cortes Island and is named for the smelt that spawn there. This is the only provincial campground on the remote island, and there are 22 campsites overlooking the bay.

BC Parks notes that it is smart to watch for wolves; please do not attempt to feed them or pet them.
