Check for signs posted at the beach before swimming at Presque Isle State Park. Another popular beach, Barracks is part of the 11-mile stretch of white sand beach at Presque Isle State Park. Barracks has limited parking, but visitors are reminded not to park in the nearby Stull Interpretive Center lot. This beach has lifeguards and is very flat, making it an ideal spot to sit and hang out on the sand. There are no amenities, so visitors must walk or drive about a half mile to the nearby Beach 1.
