Badin Lake Swim Area
Badin, North Carolina, United States

Badin Swim Area has sandy beaches with a cordoned swim zone. There is plenty of parking, and port-a-johns on site. This swim area has only been evaluated for E. coli bacteria levels. There are industrial storm water discharges near the swimming area that contain cyanide and fluoride leeching from disposal sites containing aluminum smelting waste buried by Alcoa. Visitors swimming in this area should take precautions such as not inadvertently swallowing the water and bathing after coming in contact with the water.
