Brittlebank Park is a wonderful, waterfront park along the Ashley River and next to the Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park. It boasts ample green space to enjoy with paved walking paths, a large playground for kids, a pier and floating dock that are great for fishing and crabbing, and a shelter for shade or inclement weather. There are picnic tables and benches, as well as trash cans and dog waste bag stations throughout the park. An off-leash dog area is located at the north end of the park. Brittlebank Park is open from sunrise to sunset, and free parking is available in the lot next to the entrance. The park is also home to several special events throughout the year including The Patriot Challenge, a charity paddle sport event. The Swim Around Charleston, a 12-mile open water swimming race, passes just off Brittlebank Park's shoreline. If you are looking for a fun-filled day at the park, Brittlebank Park has plenty of activities and space to do so!
