Applegate Lake at Hart-tish Park

Update: This site was last sampled by Rogue Riverkeeper on 8/16/22. During 2022, according to Rogue Riverkeeper's sampling this site met the OR standard for water contact safety 4 out of 4 times. This first sampling event of the season was 6/20/22.
Hart-tish Park is a well developed and popular recreation site on the shores of Applegate Lake with an extensive day use area, a large beach, boat ramp, and a campground with 7 walk-in tent sites and a parking area for self-contained RVs. Hart-tish offers day use areas for swimmers and a cement boat ramp as well as parking, picnic facilities, drinking water, restrooms, a small general store, and a large lawn sloping down to a large beach along Applegate Lake. This site requires a day use fee.
To get to Hart-tish, take Upper Applegate Road out of Ruch and follow the Applegate River past the Applegate Dam. Just past the dam you come to Hart-tish Park and Campground.
The facilities at Hart-tish are managed by Aztoor LLC, under a Special Use Permit issued by the USFS. The permit area is within the boundaries of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest.
