Albro Lake Beach

Albro Lake Beach is a dynamic locale that can be enjoyed all year round. Located within a residential district of Dartmouth, residents can access Albro Lake Beach at the intersection of Albro Lake Road, Ernest Avenue, and Sea King Drive. The beach is easily accessible using public transportation. There is also plenty of available parking on the site.
Albro Lake Beach has a small beach site but a spacious lake for all swimmers to enjoy. From July 1 to August 31, there are lifeguards supervising the lake from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. Amenities include a new changing room and a washroom, both of which are available beginning in late May until the end of September from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There is also a playground on an adjacent field for children to enjoy. Albro Lake Trail, which can be accessed from the beach, is an easy trail offering views of the entire lake. In the wintertime, people like to come to the lake to icefish.
Fun Fact: Albro Lake Beach was named after Samuel Albro; Albro was originally from Rhode Island but came to Nova Scotia in the 1740’s.
